About MamaHaven
A Home Away from Home for Postpartum Care
Mamahaven is a beautiful retreat space designed to support postpartum mothers during the first 42 critical days after giving birth. Here, new moms can completely rest, recuperate, and receive around-the-clock nurturing care.
Meals are prepared for each mother so nutrition is one less thing to worry about. The focus is wholly on breastfeeding, bonding, and embracing the magic of the fourth trimester.
Mamahaven also serves as a hands-on educational environment where student guides and mothers collaborate under the guidance of Queen (Lex), founder of the Mamahaven Project. Students gain firsthand knowledge of the postpartum experience while assisting with holistic support – cooking nutrient-rich meals, providing bedside care, massage, belly wrapping, emotional support, and protecting the calm of the environment.
This immersive training deepens understanding of the fourth trimester, builds practical skills, and creates a supportive sisterhood. Students emerge equipped to provide thoughtful care to mothers in their own communities.
The Mamahaven Project facilitates transformation - for mothers transitioning into the next chapter of motherhood, and for the student guides discovering their capacity to create positive change for postpartum women through knowledge and compassion.
